- Windows Server Backup là một Feature trên Windows Server 2008 cung cấp chức năng lưu trữ (backup), phục hồi (restore) dữ liệu và phục hồi hệ thống (Operating System Volume Recovery)
- Mục đích của bài lab là hướng dẫn cài đặt và sử dụng Windows Server Backup để lưu trữ, phục hồi dữ liệu và phục hồi hệ thống
- Bài lab gồm các bước:
1. Cài đặt Windows Server Backup
2. Backup Full Server
3. Restore File và Folder
4. Operating System Volume Recovery
II. Chuẩn bị:
- Một máy Windows Server 2008 có gắn 2 ổ cứng vật lý
· Disk 0: có volume C cài đặt Windows Server 2008
· Disk 1: có volume E dùng để lưu trữ file backup
- Tạo folder C:\Data chứa 2 file t1.txt và t2.txt có nội dung bất kỳ
III. Thực hiện
1. Cài đặt Windows Server Backup
- Log on Administrator password P@ssword
- Mở Server Manager từ Administrative Tools, right click Features chọn Add Feature
- Trong cửa sổ Select Features, bung Windows Server Backup Features, đánh dấu chọn Windows Server Backup, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Confirm Installation Selections, chọn Install
- Sau khi cài đặt hoàn tất, chọn Close
2. Backup Full Server
- Mở Windows Server Backup từ Administrative Tools, vào Action chọn Backup Once…
- Trong cửa sổ Backup options, kiểm tra chọn Different options, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Select backup configuration, chọn Full server, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Specify destination type, chọn Local drivers, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Select backup destination, trong ô Backup destination chọn ổ đĩa E:, chọn Next
- Trong hộp thoại Windows Server Backup, chọn Yes
- Cửa sổ Specify advanced option, chọn VSS copy backup, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Confirmation, chọn Backup
- Trong cửa sổ Backup progress, kiểm tra backup thành công, chọn Close
- Mở Windows Explorer, vào E:, kiểm tra có folder WindowsImageBackup (folder lưu trữ các file backup)
3. Restore File và Folder
- Mở Windows Explorer, vào C: , xóa thư mục Data (Giả lập server bi mất dữ liệu)
- Mở Windows Server Backup từ Administrative Tools, vào Action chọn Recover…
- Trong cửa sổ Getting started, chọn This server, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Select backup date, chọn đúng ngày lưu trữ file backup (vd: muốn restore file bacup của ngày 3 thì chọn ngày 3), chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Select recovery type, chọn Files and folders, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Seclect item to recover, bung C:, chọn folder Data, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Specify recovery options, giữ cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next
- Trong cửa sổ Confirmation, chọn Recover
- Cửa sổ Recovery progress, kiểm tra restore thành công, chọn Close
- Mở Windows Explorer, vào C:, kiểm tra đã restore được folder Data và 2 file t1.txt và t2.txt
4. Operating System Volume Recovery
- Giả lập hệ điều hành bị lỗi
- Bỏ đĩa DVD cài đặt Windows Server 2008 vào DVD Rom (nếu sử dụng virtual có thể dung file .iso)
- Khởi động máy, khi nhận được thông báo Press any key to boot from CD or DVD…, nhấn phím bất kỳ
- Trong cửa sổ Install Windows, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Install Windows tiếp theo, chọn Repair your computer
- Cửa sổ System Recovery Options, chọn Microsoft Windows Server 2008, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Choose a recovery tool, chọn Windows Complete PC Restore
- Trong cửa sổ Restore your entire computer from a backup, chọn Use the latest available backup, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Choose how to restore the backup, chọn Next
- Cửa sổ Windows Complete PC restore , chọn Finish
- Trong hộp thoại Windows Complete PC Restore, chọn OK
- Bắt đầu quá trình restore hệ thống
- Sau khi restore hoàn tất, trong hộp thoại Do you want to restart your computer now?, chọn Restart now
- Kiểm tra khởi động Windows thành công
- Log on Administrator password P@ssword
